Clinical nurse specialist for stoma care
Jennifer has worked as a clinical nurse specialist with the stoma care team since 2011, having previously spent a year as a stoma support nurse working within the community. She offers both pre- and post-operative support to any patient who is having stoma surgery, including people with IBD, cancer and incontinence, as well as providing advice to help people care for their stoma. Jennifer and her colleagues also run regular nurse-led clinics and patient support groups across north east Essex.
Jennifer completed her nursing degree at Anglia Ruskin University in 2006 before taking up her first post on the colorectal ward at Colchester, where she developed her interest in stoma care. She has also completed a diploma at Anglia Ruskin and is currently working towards a degree in healthcare practice.
