Deanna Naylor
Clinical research nurse
Deanna qualified as a nurse in 2013 after studying at University Campus Suffolk. She joined Colchester Hospital after completing her degree, and spent the first three years of her career caring for trauma and orthopaedic patients on the Aldham Ward.
Deanna moved into research after deciding she wanted a new challenge, and began working as a clinical research nurse in May 2017 when she was allocated the hospital’s IBD studies. Since then, she has studied Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, listened to the experience of patients and worked closely with the clinical nurse specialists at the hospital to develop her knowledge of IBD.
