Consultant Gastroenterologist
Dr. Simon Ralphs graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1999. He began training in gastroenterology at St. Mark’s hospital in 2004 and joined the North West London Training programme in 2008 working at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and Charing Cross amongst others. His specialist interests include nutrition, the role of the gut microbiota in intestinal disease and therapeutic colonoscopy. He has been a consultant at Colchester hospital since 2014 and is the current Clinical Lead for Endoscopy and the Clinical Director of the North East Essex Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
