In November 2016, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Ten days later I had a subtotal colectomy to save my life. Diagnosis and surgery within such a short space of time was a lot to deal with, physically and mentally, and it’s something I’m still struggling with today. But I’ve not let having a stoma stop me from living life to the fullest and doing as much as I possibly can. Which is why on February 4th I’ll be doing a skydive to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK. Although I am still struggling mentally with getting used to life with a stoma, I’m not going to let it stop me doing what I want to do. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
